“Strategic Planning for Collaborative Preservation Services” is a project funded through the IMLS National Leadership Grant program to investigate opportunities for collaborating to build preservation capabilities across libraries, archives, and museums in New Orleans. The project involved a needs assessment of local institutions to identify shared preservation challenges across collections.
A planning team was established for the second phase of the project, which included site visits from multiple specialized consultants. The planning team and consultants worked together to create an overall strategic plan to move forward and collaboratively work to better preserve collections across New Orleans.
