The Greater New Orleans Archivists organization strives to provide a space for cultural heritage professionals – especially those working in archives – to share, collaborate, and network in the New Orleans metropolitan area.
The purpose of the Greater New Orleans Archivists is as follows:

To facilitate the dissemination of archival knowledge in the city of New Orleans and the greater metropolitan area.

To promote the importance of archives and other cultural heritage institutions in the city of New Orleans and the greater metropolitan area.

To provide a forum for individuals to engage in discussions related to archives, libraries, museums, and other cultural heritage institutions.
Membership is open to all those in the metropolitan area of New Orleans who wish to support cultural heritage institutions and professionals in the greater New Orleans area. Currently, membership meetings occur quarterly.
